Stretcher bond
The runners are placed in such a way that they are offset by 1⁄4 or 1⁄2 brick respectively.
Block bond
Runner and head layers alternate.
Cross bond
Similar to the block bond, but another runner layer is shifted by half a brick.
Gothic bond
Runners and heads alternate. The rows are offset by a 1⁄4 brick.
Wild bond
Heads are randomly inserted between runners creating an irregular pattern. No more than five runners may be laid in a row.
